Tasmanian Aboriginal Cultural Experiences

Enrich your teaching and learning about First Nations histories and cultures through a cultural experience at Tiagarra. Learn about Tasmanian Aboriginal people’s connection to Country, worldview, land management, and traditional and contemporary cultural practices.

When: Mondays and Tuesday during School Terms 2024 and 2025

Where: Tiagarra, Bluff
Road, Devonport Tasmania

Strait Islander Histories and Cultures cross-curriculum priority, across all
year levels and learning areas

Cost per hour:
$15 per student and $20 per teacher

Museum Tour

Program includes a Welcome to Country and a guided tour of the Tiagarra Museum

Suitablefor: Kindergarten – Year 12

Group size: up to 30 people (inclusive of teachers)

Duration: 1 hour

Museum Tour and Guided Cultural Walk

Program includes a Welcome to Country, a guided tour of the Tiagarra Museum, and a
guided cultural walk around the Bluff

Suitable for: Years 3 -12

Group size: up to 60 people (inclusive of teachers)

Duration: 2 hours
