Expressions of Interest for Ranger positions:

SRAC are asking applicants to submit a simple expression of interest.

Things your expression of interest may include could be one or more of the following:
● A written statement or short video of why you want to work with SRAC
and your passion or experience for connection and caring for Country.
● A brief resume or short CV detailing your experience and work history.
● Current licenses or qualifications.
● Personal referees.

Following an expression of interest, applicants may be invited to interview for
the position.

Applications for Lead Ranger:

Applicants are required to provide a Cover letter addressing selection criteria and a two page resume via email to Jennifer Houston at [email protected] by the due date of 5pm, Thursday, 22nd May, 2025.

Selection Criteria

  • The following criteria are the basis for selecting a successful candidate for the role. Applicants must address each criterion in their application.
  • Experience in a topic related to the focus of the Ranger program such as natural resource management, connection to country, cultural knowledge or management of cultural sites. A qualification is not necessary but would be an advantage. This could be a TAFE qualification or evidence of other training.
  • Experience and skills in working collaboratively and leading or coordinating small teams. This would include working well with others on a day to day basis, contributing to work planning and contributing to team function. If an applicant does not have experience, they would need to have the ability to gain necessary skills.
  • Experience in, or the ability to gain skills in, meeting requirements such as workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work with Executive and management team including an ability to take direction and provide input into operational decisions.
  • Experience and/or skills in engaging with a range of stakeholder groups such as Aboriginal people, school groups and visitors. This would include speaking with groups of people and liaising with community stakeholders.
